Two in one. From now Americans are diabetic and have high cholesterol can save a type of medication because the FDA (the agency that regulates medicines in the country, has approved Juvisync, a polypill that combines sitagliptin and simvastatin.

Abuse of Antibiotics
The European Commission has presented a plan of action for Member States to take more efforts and promote cooperation in the next five years to improve responses against antibiotic resistance in humans and animals, a problem that Brussels estimates that each year costs the lives of 25,000 people and has an economic impact of 1,500 million euros across the EU.
The aim of these measures is to limit the spread of antibiotic resistance and invest in research to develop new treatments.
For this research are committed to encourage, promote cooperation between Member States and the pharmaceutical industry, but also fulfill an educational function to “educate” doctors, consumers and veterinary risk posed by the abuse of certain drugs.

Investment in research
